Message on WhatsAppThe Deepsea Challenge is Rolex's own record holder made wearable: the case that rode to the bottom of the Mariana Trench on the wrist of a full scale submersible in 2012, scaled down in 2022 into a titanium watch you can actually buy. It is the deepest rated Rolex ever put into series production.
This Rolex Deepsea Challenge wears a 50mm RLX titanium case with a black dial and the Ring Lock System visible at the sides. Automatic calibre 3230 inside.
Fun fact: RLX titanium is Rolex's own grade 5 alloy, and the Ring Lock System is a hardened steel compression ring that lets a sapphire crystal and a titanium caseback flex inward under pressure rather than crack. At under 50 grams it is lighter on the wrist than most steel sports watches half its size.
