Cubitus (Blue Dial)

Cubitus is Patek's first genuinely new integrated-bracelet sports family since the Nautilus in 1976 and the Aquanaut in 1997, a square case launched into a market where the round-cornered octagon and the tonneau shape already had owners. It landed as one of the more argued-over releases in recent Patek history, read by some as a release valve for Nautilus demand and by others as the brand testing whether its design language travels beyond the shapes Gérald Genta gave it.

This Patek Philippe Cubitus wears a 40mm white gold case with a sunburst blue-gray dial in a horizontal embossed pattern. Calibre 26-330 S C inside, on its own integrated white gold bracelet.

Fun fact: "Cubitus" is Latin for elbow, not cube, despite reading as a natural pun for a square-cased watch. Patek has never publicly explained the name. A confirmed detail from inside the case: the movement's gold rotor is embossed with the same horizontal motif that decorates the dial, so the finishing carries through to the back.
