The Twenty~4 is Patek’s watch for every hour of a woman’s day, launched in 1999 on the manchette bracelet and now grown into a full automatic line. It carries Calatrava DNA into daily wear.

This Patek Philippe Twenty~4 Automatic wears a 36mm 18k rose gold case with a white, Arabic numerals face. 26-330 S C keeps it running.

Fun fact: The Twenty~4 was Patek's first watch designed only for women, launched in 1999 as a rectangular quartz. The round automatic followed in 2018, and it is now the fastest growing line in the collection.

The reference in depth

The round Twenty~4 in rose gold

Why this one matters

Patek launched the Twenty~4 in 1999 as a rectangular quartz watch on a bracelet, aimed at women who wanted a Patek for daily wear rather than a dress watch kept in a safe. The rectangular Twenty~4 has remained part of the collection since then.

The round Twenty~4 Automatic arrived in 2018 and was the first Twenty~4 with a self-winding mechanical movement. Patek gave it a 36mm case, a self-winding calibre drawn from the wider collection, and an integrated bracelet with alternating polished and satin links. It sits alongside the rectangular quartz rather than replacing it, and the round line has since been catalogued in further dial and metal executions.

The movement

Calibre 324 S C runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a Gyromax balance, a 21k gold central rotor, roughly 35 to 45 hours of reserve, centre seconds and a date. Patek has been moving references onto the 26-330 S C, so the calibre should be confirmed for the individual watch. The Patek Philippe Seal grades rate by movement diameter and verifies it on the assembled watch, minus 3 to plus 2 seconds a day at this size, where COSC allows minus 4 to plus 6.

On the wrist

36mm reads as a proper watch rather than jewellery, and a solid gold bracelet adds noticeable weight on the wrist. The bezel stones catch light without making it evening-only. Bracelet sizing is by links, so ask what comes with it. Patek rates the Twenty~4 Automatic to 30 metres, which covers rain and hand washing rather than swimming.

Questions we are asked about this reference

What is the difference between this and the original Twenty~4?

The 1999 model is rectangular and quartz. This is the round Automatic introduced in 2018, 36mm, with a self-winding mechanical calibre and an integrated bracelet. They are two separate families sold alongside each other.

Is 36mm only a women's size?

Patek catalogues the Twenty~4 as a women's collection, and the gem-set bezel follows that positioning. Whether it suits a given wrist is a question of size and taste rather than category, so try it on before deciding.

Do the diamonds affect resale?

Factory-set stones are original to the reference and are treated differently from aftermarket work, which typically trades at a discount. A gem-set bezel does narrow the buyer pool compared with a plain one. Check that the setting is consistent in stone size, cut and spacing, and that it matches the paperwork.

The collection

Twenty~4

Patek's collection for women, a quartz cuff since 1999 and a round automatic since 2018

Patek Philippe launched the Twenty~4 in 1999 as its first collection made only for women, and the original cuff is still in the line, a rectangular case in two tiers with two rows of diamonds on the bezel and an entirely polished bracelet. Those cuff models run on the quartz calibre E15 and measure 25.1 by 30 mm. In 2018 Patek added the round Twenty~4 Automatic at 36 mm, self winding, with a sweep seconds hand and a date aperture, the bezel set with 160 diamonds. A perpetual calendar with moon phases now sits in that same round case.

Who it suits

Suits a buyer who wants a Patek that wears as jewellery, with the cuff for quartz simplicity and the round case for anyone who wants a mechanical calibre.
