Message on WhatsAppThe Royal Oak invented the luxury sports watch in 1972, and frosted gold is the finish Audemars Piguet added in 2016 with the jeweller Carolina Bucci. Openworked and set with a graded sapphire bezel, it shows the double balance wheel through the front of the case.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold Openworked wears a 41mm frosted 18k rose gold case with an openworked dial under a rainbow sapphire bezel. Automatic calibre 3132 inside.
Fun fact: The frosting is a Florentine technique from the fifteenth century, applied with a diamond tipped tool that hammers the surface thousands of times to scatter light. It is done entirely by hand and cannot be repeated identically on two cases.
