Message on WhatsAppThe Supersonnerie is the result of eight years of acoustic research at Le Brassus, a minute repeater whose gongs are fixed to a soundboard rather than to the case. It is widely held to be the loudest and clearest chiming wristwatch made in series.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater wears a 42mm titanium case with a slate grey tapisserie dial. Manual winding calibre 2953 inside.
Fun fact: Audemars Piguet developed the Supersonnerie with the acoustics department of a Swiss university, testing cases the way an instrument maker tests a violin body. Titanium was chosen because it is stiff and light, which lets the soundboard move rather than the case absorb the note.
