Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon (Titanium)

Message on WhatsAppThe Royal Oak carried an automatic tourbillon for years on a thin peripheral-rotor calibre. The 26730 generation broke with that, borrowing calibre 2950 from the Code 11.59 line and moving it into the octagonal case afterwards, a reversal of the house habit of premiering movements in the Royal Oak first.
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon wears a 41mm titanium case with a smoked blue-green tapisserie dial and two baguette diamonds at 12. Calibre 2950 inside, on a titanium bracelet.
Fun fact: Audemars Piguet built the first self-winding tourbillon wristwatch in 1986. Its calibre 2870 was 4.8mm thick and used the caseback itself as the mainplate, because no conventional layout would fit.
